The Hummingbird is a remarkable creature. Like no other bird, it can hover in mid-air. It can flap its wings up to 90 times per second. It is the only bird species that can fly backwards. Remarkably for its size, it can fly up to 54 km/h (34 MPH).
And it has adapted. Its small size, shape of beak, and all these remarkable traits are because it has optimized its specialty.
